Bring Back Our Dear
Camp Arrowhead!!
by a
Camp Arrowhead Concerned Parent
Thousands of people want Camp
Arrowhead to continue on!
Camp Arrowhead has been a mainstay of the Texas Hill
Country since 1934, and it represents the most
fulfilling times in the lives of thousands of girls
and women.
Camp Arrowhead is tremendously
important to the many girls who have called Camp
Arrowhead home each summer - and who, years later,
are sending their own daughters there for the same great
experiences.
Families all over the world have heard about Camp
Arrowhead. They have sent their daughters from
Europe, Mexico, all over the USA, and more - to
experience a girls' camp unlike any other.
All these years, this
wonderful camp, which was started by the Bartell
family, has been such a great blessing to so many
families. We never thought it would end...
My daughter began attending
Camp Arrowhead at age 10 and never looked back - it
was the highlight of her summer every year.
The summer of 2009 was to be
very special since it was the summer before her
senior year. But currently the camp is no
longer in operation - yet those who gave their
hearts to this camp never wanted it to close.
We all still hope that somehow - Camp Arrowhead will
begin again - and SOON.
We want to keep this tradition
going and send our daughters and their daughters to
this wonderful place that is unlike anywhere in the
whole world. It's a place that has made a
difference in many, many lives.
Literally thousands of people deeply want this
tradition and this beautiful camp to continue on,
serving young women and providing them with
important life skills and experiences, and the
memories of a lifetime.
Rob and Kelli Bartell put their HEART and SOUL
into this camp for most of the last decade. Rob grew
up on this camp when his family
operated the camp. Rob and Kelli ran an excellent camp for
years - giving HUNDREDS of girls the experiences of a
lifetime.
There must be a way for this camp to continue
somehow. It would be a tragedy for this beautiful
camp to change in any way. It is already a tragedy
that the camp is now in its second summer out of
operations.
Please bring back our wonderful
Camp Arrowhead.
